Como El Cielo

Truth be told, I didn't have enough blue candy melts for a Baby Shower order I was supposed to do. Usually I can get away with mixing a few white candy melts together with some blues. But then the quantity was still not enough. SO...I added a few purple and...what, before my eyes was created??

Como El Cielo...Like the Sky. A beautiful periwinkle candy melt covered in a sapphire sprinkle. Oh, they turned out so nice! So, happy Baby Shower to one lovely lady at the school where my children attend. Glad I could create these, in vanilla flavor, for you! Good luck to you! Mucha suerte!

Happy Birthday Treats for a Young Lady

These treats come direct to a young lady I've known for a few years. She just finished high school and has all the makings of a whatever she wants to be as she enters the post high school world. I was happy to create some custom cake pops for her. I did have to special order teal colored sprinkles to match the color motif of her celebration. My pleasure to do it for her! Happy 18th Birthday, Mocha and Congratulations on graduating from high school. You have the world at your fingertips!

Happy Poppin' Holidays!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. This is also the time of year when people tend to let themselves indulge in life's wonderful delights. For example...CAKE POPS!! C'mon, just a couple of bites! Here are pics of the holiday sprinkled pops that are super yummy!

The most popular flavors seem to be Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Red Velvet. The Yellow Cake dipped in Chocolate with gold sprinkles...I call Golden Gate, is also a yummy one. Ah heck...they ALL taste great! Other flavors I have created (to remind you) include White Cake, Banana, Pumpkin, Lemon, and Chocolate Mocha. Let me know your pleasure! You'll have a nice holiday celebration with these unique treats on your Christmas table!

It's A Ghost and Pumpkin Kind-of Celebration

It's that time of year, yes. You saw my previous post about the basic cake pop with Halloween colors. It has been a little crazy busy at this time of year with lots of stuff going on with kids, family, home, blah blah blah. You know what I mean. Lucky for me, someone other than myself has a birthday close to Halloween...hence the celebratory cake pops or Ghosts and Pumpkins for a friend's son's young birthday.

I confess. I hated the Wilton's edible markers. Sorry Wilton. I've heard of other brands and need to seek them out- I think Americolor? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. For now, I just painted the faces on the pumpkins and ghosts using the dark chocolate candy melts. Not bad, I must say. It was quite fun at wee hours of the morning while watching Vampire Diaries!

For these cake pops, the request was strawberry cake. The party go-ers are sure to enjoy! Happy Birthday little man A!

Trick or Treat! It's Halloween Cake Poppin' Time!

I am a bit late...but here are my (so far) Halloween cake pop creations. There are SOOO many Halloween cake pops all over the internet and I have yet to try my creative hand at the witch, the werewolf, the eyeballs, frankenstein, etc., etc. BUT...here are some simple Halloween balls of sweet. I am testing out the Wilton brand edible markers on the pumpkins. Sorry, Wilton. Not like. I know there are a couple of other brands to try that I have read good reviews about: Americolor Edible Markers specifically. The Wilton ones were handy and easy to pick up at Michael's. Anyway, making the pumpkin faces was fun. I only did a couple. Stay posted for some more daring Halloween fun!

Tres Leches Cake Pop Tester

I know for all of you Tres Leches cake lovers, this is not your typical Tres Leches experience. That cake is usually moistened with a yummy sweet milky sauce underneath a creamy light frosting. I could not mimic that experience into a cake pop. However, I think I got the flavor down. Most feedback on this was that it was good tasting and sweeter than my normal cake pops. I chose the purple because I made these for my daughter's baptism and she happened to have some light lavendar floral designs on her baptismal dress. They are covered in a sugar crystal and white pearlized jimmies combination. (It's fun knowing the actual names of different sprinkles!)

Anyway, sorry...no leftovers. BUT...I'll let you know when the next Tres Leches roll-out is! Next up, Banana Cake Pops with coconut on the outside.

Thank you to my cake pop supporters!!

Chocolate & Candy Dipped Pretzels

Just adding to the sweet tooth repertoire. These are fun and easy to do. I had all the ingredients, so why not?! Made some for July 4th and other occasions. They are definitely yummy!
