Happy New Year to all! First things first...this was my first order of the year. Yipee! I received a call from a dear friend with the request for these colors OR for owls. I am still in the learning process with so many of the amazing character / animal / etc themed cake pops I see everywhere. Hats off to so many of the talented cake poppers out there!
For now, I am keeping it simple. I run a busy household and your basic "ball" is all you will get out of me for now (unless I have some spare time which does occasionally happen!) I stick to some basic designs and sprinkles. My favorite sprinkles to use are the sugar crystals that normally come in many different colors. The feedback I get is that people like the "crunch" that the sugar crystals provide. Some of the sprinkles can change the flavor of the cake pops sometimes, but the sugar crystals just add crunch and sweetness!
Anyway, for staging, I happened to have Benny and Tutu...Benny is the frog and Tutu is the bunny. We acquired these two easy to take care of pets over the holidays. They sit on the countertop and hide loose coins that we find laying randomly around the house. They had a great time in my cake pop photo shoot! Thank you to Mr. C for the order and I hope the little girl enjoyed her Pink Velvet Cake Pop celebration treats!!
