Oh the teenage years as they approach! These fun cake pops were created for a friend's son who just turned the ripe young age of 13....an official teenager! The colors of these cake pops were selected to match the hostess' party bag selection (which I do not have a picture of), but I was told Pink & Orange and Green, with Blue & Red. So, voila! C'est magnifique!
I did my best with what I had. Wilton's makes a Royal Blue and a Light Blue Candy Melt and the Royal Blues worked perfectly here. I like to use the sugar crystals when I can, too, because they add a little crunch to the cake pop which provides a nice texture upon biting! But I also love to do little designs like the ones shown above. For the different designs, I use a squeeze bottle that Wilton's makes. I simply place the candy melts in the squeeze bottle and let the bottle sit in a coffee mug of hot water- sort of double boiler style. I'll video share that with you one day!
This was a fun project. The cake pops pictured here are Red Velvet and Carrot Cake Pops. I wrap my cake pops individually in a 4 x 5 inch cello bag, and use twisty ties to close them up. Many times I use twisty ties to identify flavors. For these ones, I used red twisty ties for Red Velvet and gold twisty ties for Carrot Cake. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Happy Anniversary to the Cakepopmama and Erin Go Bragh! Today marks my 3-Year Anniversary that my first cake pop samples rolled out and started making people's tummies say "Yumm!" This entry is dedicated to the all the wonderful people who have supported my cake popping journey- most especially, my husband and children! They are the first ones to get the samples when something new rolls out and they seem to still enjoy them like it was the first time!
All of these treats have been rolled by hand, individually decorated. Pictured are Red Velvet (lime green with white signature swirl), Cherry Chip (green with gold sprinkles), and Carrot Cake (white with green sprinkles). Each cake pop is then individually wrapped. Today's order was for a friend of a friend's birthday. Just one dozen....SO....what do I do with all these other leftovers??
You guessed it! If you are reading this blog, you can text me at 702-469-2776 and ONLY if you are local, I will find a way to get you a FREE SAMPLE! Yes, I said it. The best things in life are FREE! Last year was a bit crazy busy for me, but this year I have a little time to create some cake pop samples on this anniversary date. I'll be giving out samples all week! Go Green! Erin Go Bragh! Cheers! And have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!
