Easter Cake Pop Centerpiece in Connecticut

This little assortment comes to me from my Mom's LONGTIME friend whom she has known since First Grade waaaaaaay back in the Philippines. They are childhood friends and after a reminiscent reunion, my mom bragged about my yummy treats. "Auntie" just had to take some back home with her to Connecticut and it was MY pleasure!

Pictured above are Chocoholic, Strawberry Thrill, and Red Velvet Cake Pops. Wilton's makes a Limited Edition Red Velvet Candy Melt that was available around Valentine's Day. I did NOT see them on a recent trip to Michael's, which makes me a tad sad! So if someone wants Red Velvet Cake Pops with the Red Velvet Candy Melts, you have to act fast! I think I have one bag left! The Strawberry Thrill Cake Pops are also swirled with the Bright Pink Candy Melts, another fairly new color for Wilton's.

"Auntie" told me that she will take them home, freeze them, and use them for her Easter Centerpiece. This is totally fine! I do keep my cake pops refrigerated until they are ready for display or to serve. Personally, I feel the combination in the pictures above makes for a pretty nice centerpiece. Hope the East Coast guests like them!

Happy Birthday Treats for a Young Lady

These treats come direct to a young lady I've known for a few years. She just finished high school and has all the makings of a whatever she wants to be as she enters the post high school world. I was happy to create some custom cake pops for her. I did have to special order teal colored sprinkles to match the color motif of her celebration. My pleasure to do it for her! Happy 18th Birthday, Mocha and Congratulations on graduating from high school. You have the world at your fingertips!

Revisiting Past Creations

I've spent many hours over the past months, working on the craft of cake pops. Posted here are some pictures from my personal archives of the cake pops you haven't seen yet. The varieties are many. Some people like the crunch of the different sprinkle varieties, while some like the pretty swirl designs on the cake pops.

They all taste pretty good and I believe that with time and practice, they are only getting better. For the most part, I can create almost any cake flavor with a variety of color coatings, and with the sprinkle or design of your choice. Still fun! Still yummy!

Photo Shoot with Cake Drops

One of the fun parts about making these Cake Drops is putting them in a photo shoot! It's fun trying to find the right spot in the house, the right plate, mug, room, outdoor spot, or whatever to make theses mini-desserts look like you want to eat some RIGHT NOW!

Featured are
Chocoholics (chocolate cake with dark cocoa coating and chocolate sprinkles)
Snowballs (white cake with white candy coating and sugary sprinkles)
Strawberry Thrill (strawberry cake with white coating and pink swirls)
Chocolate Covered Strawberry (strawberry cake with dark cocoa coating and red swirls)

Umm...did I say that they are all gone, too! They were all gobbled up before I could blog about them. Go figure! Every day is cake pop and cake drop day in my home!
